As sexual education is considered a taboo in Malaysia, the creator decided to make The Horn Knee Times a newspaper inspired project about raising sexual awareness within the community.  It focuses on bringing these topics into the light in a way that is perceived in the form of newspaper articles to show its importance in the real world.

This idea came to mind in the middle of doing research about the Nice For What Movement where they focus on inner child healing, specifically to young adult females, by creating their adult identity without losing yourself in the process. They have a section on their website wherein survivor stories letters were written by sexually assaulted and domestically abused girls to show other people facing the situation that they are not alone. It is a good connecting factor of what brings them all together.

That’s where the initial idea of using fruits as a representation for sexual awareness, health and consent was born. The execution for the products of this personal project includes a Kink Dicktionary which is an A-Z list of what sexual kinks, fetishes and terms people should know about, demonstrated by hypersexual fruits.  Second, art prints with fully illustrated selected scenes from the Kink Dicktionary. Finally, the fruit characters as magnets. The concept of this idea is inspired by The New York Times, an American daily newspaper based in New York City with a worldwide readership.
